Sir — Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi’s terming of an ordinance to save convicted legislators as “nonsense”, is a bitter truth. It carries the sentiments of today’s youth which wants to see leaders with a clean image. Be it the Congress, the BJP or any other party, none seriously wants laws to clean the Augean stables.
The election of convicts to the highest seats of power is a slap on the face of law. Parties should cooperate with one another in bringing tough laws against crime and corruption.
