Tough stance

SA Sarma

This refers to the brainstormer, “PM’s Balochistan concern — is it a good ideaIJ” (August 17). The time has come for aggressive postures. We cannot put up with the nagging pain in Kashmir anymore. Pakistan, instead of focusing on development within its own country, needles in Kashmir, forgetting that it occupies Indian territory.

You cannot push in terrorists, fan anti-India slogans on your soil, harass minority Hindus on one hand, and also talk of Kashmir on the other. India has been too soft, and that has resulted in the proverbial hundred cuts from Pakistan.

It is expected that some sections of the media and the leftists oppose Modi’s Balochistan move. For them, opposing Modi is their main criteria. The rest of the country needs to take back Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
