Sir — The refers to the editorial, “The stray problem” (May 14). Stray dogs have become a problem and its time we must accept it. I agree with the views expressed in the editorial that if someone loves dogs and feeds them on a regular basis, it is his/her responsibility to put the dogs into a pet shelter.
The municipal corporation has a critical role to play to tame the growing stray problem but beyond a point, we have to do our bit. It’s high time animal right activists realise the fact that human lives are equally important and vital.
