Sir — This refers to the article, “Break the talk-terror template” (January 15) by Sankar Sen. It is obvious that the attack on the Pathankot air base was the manifestation of the Jaish-e-Mohammed, but it was the handiwork of the Pakistani Army and the Inter-Services Intelligence.
There’s no doubt that the Nawaz Sharif Government lacks supreme power and authority to enforce its decision. This is no democracy. The Pakistani Government should either negotiate with the Army for processing the talks or neutralise it by adroit diplomacy and deft policy aided by the willing cooperation of powerful countries like the US and other Western nations.
