Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Barbarians everywhere” (July 6). Killings of innocent people in Dhaka and bombings in Baghdad must awaken world leaders. It seems Governments do not want to take any positive and explicit action fearing a fierce backlash. It is high time people become self-critical and see what is going wrong in their religion and take steps to correct it. Global powers should come under one umbrella to thwart the terrorist network and remove their presence once and for all.
