Sir — The decision to appoint former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar as interim president of the BCCI has been welcomed in the cricket world. It will help impartially probe the allegations of betting and spot-fixing in the last IPl season. Hopefully, Mr Gavaskar, with many credits to his name, will live up to expectations.
