Sir — This refers to the article, “Growing desperation in anti-Modi camp” (March 8) by Anirban Ganguly. The writer has convincingly repudiated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s habitual critics, both in politics and the media. Are there any set conventions that the Indian Prime Minister cannot participate in election campaigns to seek votes for his partyIJ
Moreover, Modi is a national, active, hard-working politician, who has risen from the ranks. He vigorously went to Uttar Pradesh, meeting and speaking to the common people with regard to their problems, seeking their votes in crucial elections in the most populous State — to offer them a better, corruption-free Government which believes in ‘sabka saath, sabka vikas’ (development for all) without any caste or religious consideration.
Isn’t it ridiculous for the Prime Minister’s adversaries to dub his effort as a sign of nervousnessIJ If so, what about the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance, where the supposedly confident Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav gave more than 100 seats to his weak partnerIJ
