Sir — This refers to the article, “Coming together but not going anywhere” (May 29) by Kushan Mitra. Most of the allegations made by the Opposition are malicious and baseless. Some of the incidents that have taken place could not have been avoided by any Government. Threats from misuse of social media by anti-social and Inter-Services Intelligence agents are grave and of serious concern. The response of the police has also been tardy in many cases. The BJP Government must take criticism in stride and take harsh and immediate action against miscreants posting false, concocted videos, causing distrust and animosity amongst communities.
