Sir — This refers to the editorial, “launchpad for diplomacy”(July 2). Scientists of Indian Space Research Organisation deserve full praise for successful launching PSlV-C23. Five satellites were launched. All the five satellite were perfectly put into their respective orbit as designed. India has reason to be proud of the achievement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi started his endeavour to improve relations with our neighbouring countries by inviting heads of Government of Saarc countries for his swearing-in ceremony. He has taken it further by asking ISRO scientists to work on the idea of a ‘Saarc satellite’ which would provide a full range of applications and services to all our neighbours. A Saarc satellite will help cement relations.
