Sir — This refers to the report, “BJP seeks SIT probe into TN leader murder” (July 21). The killing of four prominent Hindu leaders in Tamil Nadu in the last six months clearly points to a conspiracy to eliminate nationalist and Hindu leaders throughout the State.
Due to their active involvement in social service, these leaders were popular in the Hindu community. They were vocal critics of Islamists and their terror activities in south India. Pro-nationalist leaders have always been an eyesore for the anti-national, anti-Hindu and anti-terror forces. Andhra Pradesh BJP president G Kishan Reddy too has been on the terrorists’ radar. These killings should prod the Tamil Nadu Government to strengthen its intelligence and security framework.
