This refers to the report, “I've info on ‘Modi's graft': Rahul” (December 15). Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's bizarre claim at a Press conference that he was in possession of explosive information on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's “personal corruption”, made people wonder what prevented him from revealing the same at the Press conference. Was Gandhi frightened that such a disclosure in the public domain would expose him to counter-action and drag him to the courtIJ He was keen to reveal this accusation in the lok Sabha because he would have immunity for what he speaks there.
The juvenile nature of his vague charge is underlined by the fact that Gandhi had enough opportunity to speak in the lok Sabha. While his colleagues, sitting close to him, were active in raising questions, Gandhi was quiet. Hence, his charge that he was prevented from speaking, is false. With his latest crude posturing, Rahul Gandhi has done further damage to his already poor image of an immature and undignified politician.
