The re-launch vehicle for Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi seems to have developed snags even before taking off. Mr Gandhi's speech at a ‘pro-farmer' rally at Delhi’s Ramlila ground on Sunday lacked the necessary punch. It was routine, monotonous and boring. His inability to put facts straight to the people, remains an issue. One wonders what impact his speech could have had on farmers of India when Mr Gandhi did not appear to say anything new. He has disappointed the people. Mr Gandhi's should substantiate with proof the allegations he has made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He should walk the talk now and shed his image of being a silent spectator. More importantly, he has to have facts at his fingertips when ruling party members bombard him with the Robert Vadra land deal. He may not be able to duck the verbal bouncers the NDA throws at him on the Vadra issue.
