Sir — This refers to the article, “Disconnected with reality, he fights on” (October 26) by Ashok Malik. Assessing the recent election rally speeches of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, and by focussing on the assassination of his grandmother and his father, the writer has validly underlined the young Congress leader’s unpreparedness for public role.
Clearly, as a result of these traumatic tragedies in his adolescence and early adulthood, and the fact that he got the leadership on a platter, Mr Gandhi is disconnected with reality.
