Sir — There are media reports that many miscreants of foreign origin (Nepalese and Tibetans), now settled illegally mainly in hilly areas including in flood-hit regions of Uttarakhand, not only stripped the dead of their jewellery but even looted cash and belongings of survivors by luring them to the jungles on the pretext of taking them to safe places.
Reports even indicate that there were horrible incidents of molestation and rape. The Supreme Court and the National Human Rights Commission should direct the administration to look into the matter and punish the guilty. Illegal foreign immigrants too must be repatriated to their country.
