Sir — This refers to the report, “No mamata for TapasIJ MHA wants report” (July 2). One lowers one’s head in shame on seeing the recording of Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal. His foul language has no place in the democratic world, as democracy does not mean that a person may say whatever he wants.
Even a commoner has to behave in a decent manner, but here an elected MP of a party whose leader is a woman, has crossed all limits of indecency. A mere apology will not suffice. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has to take action, and the Speaker of the lok Sabha must explore options to take Mr Pal to task.
