Sir — This refers to the news that defiant Congress leader Imran Masood has landed in jail after his threat to cut Mr Narendra Modi to pieces came to light. The Congress claims this episode is a BJP conspiracy. Even if one accepts that there was a conspiracy in the timing of the release of the months-old video, that does not make the charges against Mr Masood any less grave.
Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who had shown his anger by tearing into an ordinance that sought to protect convicted lawmakers, should have displayed similar anger by cancelling Mr Masood’s party ticket.
