Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Scrap this triple talaq” (December 10). The Allahabad High Court’s observation, terming triple talaq as “unconstitutional” and “violative of Muslim women’s right”, is welcome as it upholds the principle of equality and gender justice.
In the name of religion, Muslim women are often subjected to harassment. The Allahabad High Court’s observation must pave the way for victory in Supreme Court, which has a number of petitions at its disposal.
