Sir — This refers to the editorial, “An act of a statesman” (December 28). Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Pakistan has amazed his critics, his admirers and the political commentators. Mr Modi’s interaction with his Pakistani counterpart will give momentum to the India-Pakistan peace process. Although it is too early to comment whether disputes between the two countries will resolve, what is certain is that this visit is bound to promote peace and stability between India and Pakistan.
