Sir — This refers to the article, “Yes to tolerance, no to Islamists” (March 7) by Mayuri Mukherjee. looking back, one would find how true Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was when he said that considerable support for the Jamaatis and Pakistan exists in Bangladesh, while adding, “25 per cent of the Bangladeshi swear by the Jamaat-e-Islami”.
Alarm bells should be ringing in the bordering States of Assam and West Bengal, which recently saw communal clashes between the indigenous population and the Muslim immigrants.
