This refers to the report, “Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto berths go scarcer & costlier” (September 8). The surge pricing introduced by the Indian Railways is anti-people and will only be a burden for the common man. Moreover, it is likely to be followed by other trains too. This is unacceptable. The Union Government must re-consider its decision and opt for periodical marginal increase instead.
