Past actions

This refers to the report, “Will not let Modi sleep peacefully:  Kejriwal” (October 19). When Ms Sheila Dikshit was the Chief Minister of Delhi, it was Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal who taunted Ms Dikshit for having failed to maintain law and order in the capital. He also asked for her resignation, when the Nirbhaya gangrape incident took place.

With the same logic, the recent twin rape cases of minors in Delhi should propel Mr Kejriwal to resign from his chief ministerial post. Instead, Mr Kejriwal has gone a step further, and has challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give Delhi Police’s rein in his hands, as if he can set things right in the spur of the moment.

What Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is for national politics, Mr Kejriwal is for Delhi. Both are novice in politics, immature in nature and wayward in action.  While the former is encashing the legacy of his ancestors, the latter is thriving on the reputation of his mentor Anna Hazare.
