Sir — This refers to the article, “Good music at wrong time for Kashmiris” (September 6) by Padma Rao Sundarji. It is unfortunate that the writer has chosen to remain unmindful of the fact that the clearly well-funded anti-Indian, separatist lobby in Jammu & Kashmir will never allow an international event like the one of Zubin Mehta’s symphonic concert to be telecast live, without a symbolic protest of shutdown of Srinagar. Hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani and his cohorts will never accept any activity that suggests peace and normalcy. They have a vested interest in keeping J&K on the boil. As far as these anti-Indian elements are concerned, will there be any right time for ‘good music’ in the valleyIJ
