Sir — This refers to the article, “Times have changed for the Congress” (February 15) by Ashok Malik. Mahatma Gandhi was instrumental in forcing the exit of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose from the Congress. The Mahatma always carefully weeded out leaders who had the stature and ability to upstage Jawaharlal Nehru.
