Sir — Surprisingly, of late, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has begun giving interviews to the electronic media, which was not the case in the past. It is heartening that he has categorically mentioned that he would rather be on the losing side than indulge in communal politics of the kind that Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been doing. And it is also good that he would rather focus on ensuring that our system does not see new corruption cases than waste his energy on existing ones.
More importantly, Mr Modi has stated clearly that he will not play the politics of vendetta. This is welcome. It is good that a mature and strong leader like Mr Modi is expected to be at the helm of affairs to take India in the right direction.
