The launch of ‘Digital India Week' by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 1 is a gigantic step towards all-round speedy progress and growth of each and every Indian in the coming years. Mr Modi's vision will also further promote the idea of e-governance and take it to the next level of “M-governance”, as he said. This is a wonderful ambition, and speedy and effective implementation is needed to make it a success. The corporate sector has pledged `4.5 lakh crore for the project that has the potential to create 18 lakh jobs.
Though we have the former economist Prime Minister Manmohan Singh along with the ‘young and dynamic' Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and the ‘selfless social worker' Arvind Kejriwal, the people, mainly the youth of India, should be shocked to note that none of them had or has shown such e-vision in the national interest. Mr Modi is an ‘e-visionary' in that sense.
