Sir — The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony was held at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Japan, on August 6, exactly at 8.15 am, the moment when the atomic bomb was dropped.
Bells rang at temples, sirens wailed and citizens observed a moment of silence, remembering 140,000 lives lost and the survivors who are still suffering the aftermath of the terror bombing. Though atomic bomb worked on principle of nuclear fission, people of Japan never lost (hope) sight of their vision. like Arjuna had said: “I can see only the eye of the bird.” The atomic bomb could only destroy homes but not break their hearts or spirits.
