Sir — This refers to the article, “Political apathy on lokpal is shameful” (September 9) by Nripendra Misra. It seems like the lokpal Bill shall never be passed in Parliament as our lawmakers are not sincere in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.
They will disrupt Parliament for the slightest of reasons, but when it comes to debating on and passing the lokpal Bill they stall its passage by referring it to some committee or the other for further scrutiny. We have seen it happen many times. One hopes that better sense will prevail and the lawmakers will endorse the Bill sooner than later.
