This refers to the article, “When a sensible man joins a jaded debate” (November 27) by Shobori Ganguli. Perhaps the author is mistaken. Actor Aamir Khan has explicitly said that he stands by what he has said. That is to say that, he stands by the perception of fear and intolerance. He has not withdrawn his statement. But by stating that he will still not leave the country (notwithstanding the fear) Mr Khan has made himself a hero, not a villain .
