This refers to the article, “Silver lining in the AAP's cloud” (April 6) by KG Suresh. The writer has elaborately assessed the convulsions, turmoil and infighting in the Aam Aadmi Party in recent weeks. The AAP has turned out to be “no different from the scheming, conspiring, back-biting, undemocratic, double-tongued leadership” that the people have come to hate over the years. Having discovered such basic structural and moral weaknesses in the party and its leadership, it is hard to believe that the writer still expects Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, known for his autocratic tendencies, and for his leftist minorityism, to move in a different direction.
let us face the truth: Mr Kejriwal's clash with his senior colleagues, Mr Yogendra Yadav and Mr Prashant Bhushan, among a few others, is personal and egoistic. He regards them as a threat to his supremacy in the party, and that is why he orchestrated the humiliation heaped on its senior and founder members.
