Forget sorrows

J Rogers

Sir — This refers to the article, “The interlude that has been left behind” (January 6) by Hiranmay Karlekar. Many years ago, while overseas, I learned a well-known saying which is worth remembering, “life is not meant to be easy;  it is worth enjoying.” All celebrations are for the people to forget their sorrows and, thus, live a life full of joy.
