Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Relief amidst the crisis” (November 23). The opposition to the demonetisation of currency notes stems from two reasons. First, the opposition parties, as an instrument of policy, want to oppose any decision of the BJP Government. They are obsessed with the view that everything should be opposed tooth and nail. Second, demonetisation has come as a bolt from the blue to the opposition parties since no time was given to them to hoard black money.
