Team India the title
It is sad that the Indian cricket team led by MS Dhoni lost the World T20 final, and Dhoni lost the chance to be the only Indian captain to win three world titles. In the end, I was reminded of Darren Sammy's prophecy after West Indies lost the semi final against Sri lanka. Sammy had said that maybe god wants Mahela and Sangakkara to leave on a high. God fulfilled Sammy's wish. If only the Indians had heard Sammy, they could have been a bit more careful. The fairy-tale ending could well have been Dhoni's. The Indian team played well throughout but in the last three overs, when the batsmen should have gone for the kill, they blundered.
However, there is one thing about Dhoni that even his staunch critics would applaud. He had arranged a complimentary pass for a die-hard Pakistani cricket fan, Mohammed Bashir, who came all the way from Chicago to support his team.
