Failure to lead is Rahul Gandhi's hallmark

Bal Govind

This refers to the article, “When sheep lead lions, expect the worst” (June 4) by Rajesh Singh. The writer has summed up the Congress's misery nicely. If ever one wanted proof of how much politics matters to Mr Rahul Gandhi, one doesn't have to look beyond that Press conference after the May 16 defeat, wherein the party vice president not only spoke just two sentences but was also caught smiling.

He had just handed the worst ever defeat to the oldest political party in the country and was still nonchalant. Time and again he has proved that he doesn't like to take responsibility and runs away from it. By not taking up the role of leader of Congress MPs in Parliament, he has once again proven this.

It looks like even in dreams, if sees himself in a responsible position, he will wake up considering it as a hallucination. Two brave Congress leaders who dared to speak the truth were shown the door.
