Sir — This refers to the article, “The Congress needs Priyanka to win in UP” (July 8) by Kalyani Shankar. Given past experience, Congress scion Priyanka Vadra is good only in the ‘pinch hitter’ type of cameo innings. She rushes in, addresses a few gatherings, attacks Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP, and rushes elsewhere to repeat the same words and charges. So far, she has not done or said anything that is either significant or reflects a mind with a vision. This Modi-centered bhashan has become stale. Worse, it is now boomeranging on the Congress everywhere.
