Sir — This refers to the article, “Exit the Muslim veto, enter the Muslim voter” (March 21) by Sandhya Jain. The writer has rightly accused the Congress Government of pampering the Muslims for vote-banks.
The Constitution of India created one category of citizen and provided them the same fundamental rights and strictly prohibited any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, gender et al. But in practice, the Congress, the leftists and the seculars, granted special favours to a particular community. To secure their support, they nurtured their leaders and clergies.
However, liberal Muslims have now realised that they had been taken for a ride by certain political parties.
let the Muslim brothers resist this reality and react suitably to remove their illiteracy, orthodoxy and medieval mindset in their own interest and join the mainstream as ideal citizens of India.
