Enough of drama, AAP must now come clean

Rl Pathak

This refers to the article, “...But I have promises that I cannot keep” (March 16) by Balbir Punj. The writer aptly describes the situation in Mr Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party, when he says that the AAP could be another “bubble on the Yamuna”. Everyone knows how the AAP is in doldrums, as we see its leaders ‘facing' sting operations. Their dubious activities are unfolding by the day.

Given the present state of affairs, how can the party and its Government in Delhi fulfil the aspirations and expectations of the peopleIJ We see how founder members such as Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan and Shanti Bhushan have been humiliated. We also saw how Anna Hazare and Ms Kiran Bedi disassociated from the group led by Mr Kejriwal. Tamashas like collecting funds from lunch-dinner diplomacy may have paid off. Now, AAP leaders must learn to deliver. Blaming the Centre for their failures will not bear fruit.
