Letter to the Editor

Enough is enough

Sir — This refers to the article, “Kejriwal shoots off another letter to PM, hits out at detractors” (June 16). Arvind Kejriwal’s agitation style comprises of dharnas and protest marches, reminiscent of the non-cooperation and civil disobedience agitations of the Colonial era. It is high time he realises that his agitation style is out of date. He is also to be reminded that his is not the first Government in Delhi with another political party at the Centre.

The difficulty with Kejriwal is three fold: Firstly, Kejriwal feels that being the Chief Minister of a Union Territory like Delhi, is  too small for him. Secondly, he is in too much of a hurry to reach the podium without passing through the intermediate levels. Thirdly, Kejriwal is not a team player and it is because of this that he is unable to get along with anyone. His break up with his mentor, Anna Hazare is a clear example of his solo way of working. One only hopes that it will soon dawn on Kejriwal that politics is not all about confrontation but also about accommodation.
