This refers to the article, “Cleaning up country’s rotten electoral system” (January 31) by A Surya Prakash. A recent analysis by a non-governmental organisation of the sources of political parties, is on the dot. There is no doubt that the time has come to have stricter laws to inject transparency in the funding of political parties and to take hard steps against politicians that are the fountainhead of corruption.
