Sir — This refers to the article, “Trump and the bigots of ‘liberal’ America” (January 30) by Balbir Punj. US President Donald Trump has said that he wants us to “put America first”. There can be no doubt that each country must be concerned about their problems. But no nation can live in isolation. Putting ‘America first’ is pure egoism on a national level.
