This refers to the article, “Dangers of losing the battle of perception” (November 26) by Gautam Mukherjee. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political rivals know it well that, if Mr Modi keeps doing good work, he cannot be unseated for the next 10 years or more.
Since there are no corruption charges against the BJP and economic growth is imminent, the only way for the Opposition to thwart Mr Modi and his Government is to create chaos and communal tension. However, Indians are generally docile and humble and may succumb to such tactics. Mr Modi must not take this lightly.
