I strongly endorse the name of cricketing legend Rahul Dravid as the coach of the Indian cricket team, as suggested by Sunil Gavaskar.
Dravid is enormously respected by everyone in the cricket fraternity and also universally acknowledged as a true gentleman-cricketer. Some of the current players attribute their success and promotion to his guidance and encouragement. He would make an excellent coach.
Dravid does not even have to prove his credentials. The nickname, ‘The Wall', stands testimony to his ability. Every cricketer, senior or newcomer, listens attentively and with respect to his deep, positive and informative thoughts on the game. He understands the psychology of Indian cricket and its players. He is a master of the modern game and has not been associated with groupism. Even after retiring from international cricket, Dravid has been doing a wonderful job in the Indian Premier league as a mentor for Rajasthan Royals.
