Sir — The US has hardened its stand against Indian diplomat Devyani Khobragade, refusing to drop the charges of visa fraud.
local laws must be respected. If the accusations are true, India should not ask for immunity. The right of immunity arises only if the charges are concocted and made with mala fide intention. An apology can be demanded from the US if there is conclusive evidence that the allegations which the US agencies have levelled are false.
