Different opinions

This refers to the article, “The appalling defence of a convicted terrorist” (August 10) by Joginder Singh. Yakub Memon was caught, tried in the courts, found guilty, and as per the verdict of the Supreme Court, hanged to death. It is a pity that it took the Indian judiciary 22 years to punish him.
People who opposed the death penalty or advocated leniency for Yakub Memon are as bad as those who ask for mob justice. India is a country of laws and everyone is free to express his of her opinion. To throw stones at people whose views do not conform to so-called liberal sentiments, is disservice to the nation.
