Sir — This refers to the article, “Shoring up our defences for the future” (October 4) by Hiranmay Karlekar.
The real problem tormenting the Armed Forces today is the lack of a full-time Minister for Defence. One wonders if Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to tackle this serious issue at the earliest. After all, the Modi Government has been around for four months now.
