Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Short-sighted politics” (March 20). It is indeed an example of vote-bank politics being played by DMK chief M Karunanidhi. He should appreciate that India is surrounded by hostile neighbours like China and Pakistan, and in such a scenario it is ill-advised to strain our relationship with Sri lanka.
