This refers to the report, “Is fat wallet plan justified for MlAsIJ” (October 8). The recommendation of the ‘independent panel’, appointed by the Aam Aadmi Party Government to raise the salary of the Members of legislative Assembly of the national capital by up to 400 per cent, is a cruel joke on the plight of aam aadmi.
A party committed to the display of passion and echoing national sentiments for ‘transparent, responsible and corruption-free governance’, resorting to such extravagant measures to deepen its pockets, is outrageous. The AAP Government cannot be allowed to get away by citing its own victimhood and blaming the Union Government, Delhi Police and the lt Governor for its shambolic governance.
