Sir — What an irony that the mastermind of sting operations seems to have got stung due to “a lapse of judgement”.
It is meaningless for Mr Tarun Tejpal to ‘recuse’ himself as editor-in-chief of Tehelka. The sexual harassment allegation has to be dealt with according to the law. The incident shows that even people from the upper strata of society, and not just from the lower rungs — as was the case in the December 16 gang rape incident — indulge in criminal behaviour.
