Sir — This refers to the article, “This ghost will not go away that easily” (July 23) by A Surya Prakash. With numerous and much larger corruption cases like the CWG scam, 2G scam, coal scam and the wheeling-dealing for plum posts in Indian Railways, coming to light in recent times, the Bofors controversy has paled into insignificance in terms of the money involved. And with the main actors in the Bofors case having passed away, the truth will never be revealed.
For all practical purposes, Bofors is a closed subject, fit for discussions on the news channels when any related event, as in this instance Ottavio Quattrocchi’s death, takes place.
