The Shiv Sena has asked BJP patriarch lK Advani about who he was referring to in his controversial Emergency remark. Clearly, the Shiv Sena has not read the clarification given by Mr Advani addressing exactly this question. Mr Advani has made clear that he was referring to the Congress which imposed Emergency four decades ago and has since shown no remorse for that action.
Also, as even Congress loyalists have themselves said, today's party leaders, Mr Sonia Gandhi and Mr Rahul Gandhi, are even more autocratic than Indira Gandhi was in her time. Remember how Mr Rahul Gandhi had torn up an ordinance, passed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, at a Press conference. After losing the lok Sabha election, the Congress has become obstructionist. It is opposing each and every step of the Government and creating unnecessary controversies. Without power, the Congress is like a fish out of water.
