Sir — This refers to reports that lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has called for States to shun political differences for s growth. She was speaking in Uttar Pradesh. Ms Mahajan was spot on in observing that despite the divergence of opinions, all State regimes share a common interest in the holistic development of the country.
The common man is shocked at the way our representatives at times behave in Parliament and State Assemblies, stalling their functioning, and thereby wasting public money.
